On Sunday July 1st 2012 the Sereen Foundation delivered its first Wow Project to the Children’s Cancer Hospital of Egypt 57357. ¬†Coinciding with Hospital 57357′s five year anniversary celebrations, these art supplies will be used by the Hospital’s personnel and volunteers in support of the center’s existing arts and craft activity programs.

Dr. Nermin Sharabas, Hospital 57357′s Head of the Volunteer’s Department, and Dr. Hanaa Farid, Hospital 57357′s Strategic Manager received the art supplies on behalf of the Hospital. ¬†“On behalf of the Hospital Administration and more importantly our young children patient community, I want to thank the Sereen Foundation for this generous gift”, said Dr. Nermin. “Art supplies not only bring joy to the children but also a sense of normalcy as they deal with the challenges of their treatment.”

Young Hospital 57357 patient Asma (pictured) was very excited as well to be a part of the welcoming committee for the art supplies and being the first beneficiary of the art supplies and now the proud owner of a new coloring book.

Representing the Sereen Foundation were Principals Dr. Tawfik Abdelmoneim, Magda Elreheimy, and Tania Abdelmoneim.

Commenting on the experience, Tania Abdelmoneim said “I can’t tell you how rewarding it was to see the joy in the face of little Asma and the hospital staff – it really makes everyone involved say ‘wow’.”
